Farm sustainability and Net-Zero: Participatory farms across supply chains and the LEAF network will determine how the innovations will deliver environmental and economic benefits in WP6.

A combined approach using a commercially available carbon foot printing tool (Agrecalc) and a research orientated agri-LCA tool will be employed. Agrecalc will identify carbon and economic hotspots in existing ruminant systems and develop a mixed sward module for improved system analysis.

Whilst the LCA tool will improve the modelling of legumes and analyse the positive impacts on GHGs and other environmental indicators through reduced fertiliser, feed and N use efficiencies.
